great central base for exploring local parks and attractions

I had a fantastic two-night stay and loved how close this place is to Santa Cruz Mission State Historic Park, just a short stroll away, and the welcoming atmosphere created by the manager, who really took the time to connect with guests and ensure a comfortable experience.

Staying at this cozy spot was great! The staff were super friendly and accommodating, which was a blessing with our large family and pets. The rooms were clean and comfortable, giving us a homely feel away from home. Plus, being able to walk to nearby restaurants was a pleasant surprise.

In my wife’s opinion, a kid-friendly play area would be great.

However, the breakfast options left much to be desired, not matching the quality expected from similar establishments. Additionally, the location is not ideal for walking to the beach, especially with young children. it's about two miles away.

I stayed for 2 nights in a King Room and was impressed by the friendly and attentive staff, who really made my experience enjoyable. The room was spacious and clean, with a really comfy bed that ensured a good night's sleep. Breakfast offered a decent variety, and the location was convenient to local restaurants. However, I felt that the breakfast options could use a little improvement as they were somewhat basic.

Housekeeping could use a boost. I walked into a bathroom mirror that looked like it could tell a few stories, with smudges covering half of it. The brown gunk on the door felt out of place, and the overall vibe of the room gave off a tired, outdated atmosphere, suggesting that a refresh couldn’t hurt. Breakfast options left something to be desired and a lack of a Keurig was definitely felt when morning cravings kicked in.

Couple getaway that has its charm

The staff were very nice. They were so helpful, especially when I had some late night needs, they responded quickly. I had a really nice quiet room to work in, which is not easy to come by in these kinds of places.
